The PCDC is canceling our monthly meeting for the month of May owing to our continued efforts to fight the spread of the COVID-19 virus. Please mark your calendar in hopes we will see you in June. In the meantime:
The PCDC just approved the purchase of $200.00. of canned meats, single can meals, fruit cups, snacks, and Gatorade for delivery to the Sheltering Tree in support of Flagler County’s homeless persons. Due to all the limitations on purchases at the grocery stores, we were able to purchase $60. worth today for delivery to the Sheltering Tree. We will continue to make additional purchases over the next week until we reach the $200.00 mark.
Additionally, you can volunteer to assist by accepting canned goods like those cited above at your home from friends and neighbors. If needed, another volunteer can do a drive-by to pick up the donations for delivery to the Sheltering Tree.
You can make deliveries directly for the Sheltering Tree at the 1st United Methodist Church in Bunnell, between 10:30-11:30 am on TUESDAYS.
Or, you can call for drive-by pick up, or take food donations to:
- Sue Bickings’ house: 6 Black Bear Lane in Palm Coast. Please call first to assure someone is home to take your delivery: 386-503-0816, and leave a message.
- Vicky LeTellier’s house: 323 Lambert Ave. in Flagler Beach. Vicky’s number is 386-931-4322. (Call first to assure someone is home to take your delivery.)
Please observe all safety practices as you shop. Donations can also be made online at the Sheltering Tree’s website https://flaglershelteringtree.com/ . And, by all means, Stay safe!
