Hello Fellow Democrats!
Just when it seemed that our biggest challenges would be those related to the upcoming elections, a unique virus confronts our species! Your leadership team of the Palm Coast Democratic Club would like you to know that our club is here and continues to be up and running during this COVID 19 crisis. True, we have suspended our monthly informative gatherings and meetings, but your board stays in touch and conducts business, virtually.
We are entering our 3rd week of the Florida’s “Safer at Home” program, and there are certainly frustrations that we all have in common. Flagler County has not been left unscathed by the virus, but we haven’t been ravaged as severely as many other locales in the US and Florida. We emphasize our support for your continued and health and safety. We also note that even though it appears that state government leadership is easing its earlier restrictions, the burden to effectively distance ourselves socially, increasingly relies on our individual sense of responsibility to ourselves, our families and our communities.
It is also obvious that our sense of “status quo” is profoundly altered. The challenges to our physical, mental and financial well-being have never been greater. There are community, county, state and federal resources to assist with these challenges. The secret is to reach out and ask for help, if you need it. At the same time, if you find yourself in a position to help those less fortunate, there are multiple opportunities to help in our community, through donations of much-needed resources.
Please don’t hesitate to contact us through the club email or website, if we can be of any assistance.
Stay safe, stay healthy!
On behalf of your entire Palm Coast Democratic Club Officers and Board,
Bob Coffman, President
