Two Flagler County Democrats have been elected to serve as delegates for Joe Biden at the Democratic National Convention.
Democratic caucuses in Flagler, Volusia, Lake, and St. John’s Counties chose Teldra Jones of Palm Coast, and Cenan Ozmeral, of Flagler Beach, both supporting candidate Joe Biden, to join the Florida national delegation. The counties comprise U.S. Congressional District 6.
This is the first time local Democrats have elected a Flagler County woman, Teldra Jones, as a delegate.
Teldra is the 1st Vice President of the Democratic Women Club of Flagler County and is active in the community with various groups and charities. Jones served for 26 years as a U.S. Air Force Chief Master Sergeant, and currently works for Wabtec Corp as a senior supply chain manager.
“I believe in Democratic ideals, “said Jones, “Civil rights, equal rights for all, economic justice, voting rights and protecting & preserving our environment”. She is married to Carl Jones, also retired from the Air Force, and they have two grown children, Carly and Kace.
Other Congressional District 6 delegates elected at last week’s Democratic caucuses are Joyce Cusack, Rachel “Charlie Sunshine” DeGolier, and Andrew Spar.
