Peggy Rae Border Retires Does Not Seek
Re-Election |
| Peggy Rae Border, long term Supervisor of Elections for Flagler County has decided not to seek re-election. While all Democrats hate to see her leave and many Republicans join us in wishing she would stay, her departure has opened up a scramble for the Supervisor of Elections position. Currently seven candidates have begun their campaigns including two Democrats, one No Party and 4 Republicans. the Democratic party wishes Peggy well in her future endeavors, but will miss her steady influence at the polls. |

| Eight candidates are vying for the Flagler County Sheriffs position including the incumbent and former sheriff. This race along with the contested supervisor of elections race and clerk of courts race is heating things up in Flagler County. All Democrats are encouraged to call the headquarters and volunteer to help in this important election year. |

Byrnes, Flagler County State Committeewoman has been elected President
of the Flagler County Democratic Club. In a very busy week
she was also elected as a new director for the statewide Florida
Democratic Party Small County Coalition. Congratulations Jan!
